James Robert Luffman 74, of Dade City, FL, passed away Thursday, January 7th, 2021, surrounded by family. He was born August 27, 1946 in Tampa, FL to Vernon Emerson and Mary Sue Warren-Luffman and was a lifelong resident of Dade City. He owned and operated Luffman Well Drilling, a family business since 1948, for 50 years and was an active member of the Trilacoochee Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, an avid hunter, and a friend to all. Robert was known for his integrity, strong work ethic, and sense of humor. A handshake with Robert was as valid as his signature. He would often be seen driving through town in his red GMC truck. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Robert is survived by his wife of 55 years: Peggy A. Luffman; three children: Danae Luffman, Robert E. Luffman, Jason W. Luffman; one brother: Wayne F. Luffman (Donna); and five grandchildren: Devon, Holden, Nathan, Zane, and Zoe. He was preceded in death by his parents: Vernon and Mary Sue Luffman.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 11th, 2021 at the Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home, 11441 US Highway 301, Dade City, FL 33525, with burial to follow at Floral Memory Gardens. The viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. for those who wish to attend.
