Obituary

Mr. James Lonczak, 71, formerly of Syracuse, NY, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at his home in San Antonio, Fl. He was born on May 28, 1951, in Syracuse, NY, to parents Henry Lonczak and Gladys Przylucka. He was a graduate of Franklin College and retired from General Motors. He served in the US Army and was decorated as a Marksman. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. He was an avid fisherman in deep sea fishing, catching a 500 lb. blue marlin, dozens of sailfish, etc. as well as the big 3 in-shore fishes. When not fishing you wont find him at home, he is out traveling with his wife with recent travels to Kruger National Park, the Nile River, Europe, and Alaska to name a few. Then in his spare time, he is out bird watching. A true lover of nature. His wife, Terry Malowicki, survives Mr. Lonczak. He was predeceased by his brothers Henry Jr. and Richard of Liverpool, NY, and sister Marcia Bozych of Camillus, NY. A mass will be held at 10 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 32825 Rhode Island Ave, San Antonio, FL 33576, with Father Garry Welsh, officiating. Interment will be at St Anthony Cemetery following the mass. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the care of Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 Chapel Dade City, Fl.
