James W. Jones, Sr. (Jay) age 86, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017, under the care of Gulfside Hospice at Heartland of Zephyrhills. Mr. Jones was retired from the Army National Guard after 33 yrs of service, at the rank of Command Sargent Major. He was also retired from his civilian job at Tampa Armature Works. He leaves behind many friends and neighbors who he truly regarded as extended family. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Jones; brother, Pat (Shirley ) Jones of Tampa; children, Deborah Jahnigen of Tampa, Michael (Kiki) Jones of Tampa, Susan (Damon) Seals of Zephyrhills, Mark (Maria) Jones of Gainesville, Va., Kimberly (Chris) Delgado-Jones of Riverview, and Kyle Jones of Dade City. He is also survived by his son James W. Jones, Jr. of Round Rock, Tx., many grandchildren and great grandchildren and dear nieces and nephews. Services will be at Hodges Funeral Home on HWY 301 in Dade City at 3 PM Friday, March 24, 2017 with a visitation from 2-3 PM.
