James Jim Howard 89 of Zephyrhills passed away April 1st surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 21st, 1922 in Perry, Florida to Loreta and Roland Howard who preceded him in death. He served in WWII and was involved in the Normandy Invasion. He was involved in many ventures in his lifetime. He owned Jim Howard Equipment and was partners in Interstate Livestock Market in Tampa. He owned Rocking X Ranch and P & H Dairy and when he retired in 1996 he started a new venture - GOLFING. He was on the golf course every morning at daylight.. He has been a member at Scotland Yards Golf and Country Club for the past 15 years. He was a 32nd degree Mason. He was preceded in death by his wonderful wife Jean who he missed dearly. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Jerry. He is survived by his daughters Delores Hughes and husband Bob, Kathy Mims and husband Ronnie, his grandchildren who he adored, Lisa Barnett and husband Kerry, Robbie Hughes and wife Deana, Michael Mims, Megan Milligan and husband Matt. Great grandchildren Chellsey and Dylan Barnett, Jaeden, Emily and Hunter Hughes, Catlyn Mims and Rayland Milligan. He is also survived by one sister Margaree Stokes and two brothers, Floyd and David Howard, as well as, two very special friends, Wayne and Sarah Newsome. He was the most wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. He touched many lives. He is going to be missed by many. The family would like to thank Gulfside Regional Hospice for all the support and excellent care.Visitation to be held Wednesday, April 4, 2012 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Hodges location on US Hwy 301 in Dade City. Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 11:00am with a graveside service to follow at Chapel Hill Gardens.
