James Daniel (Dan) Hicks passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends at 5:00pm April 22nd, 2015. He was born in Barber County, Alabama on August 15, 1928.A longtime resident of Dade City, Florida, he is survived by his wife of 68 years Lanell Hicks; son James Walter Hicks; daughters Nellie Josephine Pendrotti (Michael), and Carolyn Ann Brown (Tom); grandchildren Jimmy Hicks, Greg Triplett, Stephanie Bans, and Evan Arno; Great-grandchildren Heather Triplett, Justin Triplett, Jackson Arno, Olivia Arno and Landan Johnson.A visitation will be held at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City on Friday April 24, from 10:00-11:00, with a funeral service at 11:00, Rev, Dustin Atkins officiating.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to HPH Hospice.
