IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James A
Easterday Jr
January 19, 1938 – October 29, 2015
Easterday Jr., James A., age 77, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015 in Tampa, Florida with his loving wife by his side. He was born Jan 19, 1938, in Warren, the son of the late James A. Easterday Sr. and Clara "Agnes" Davies. A resident of Warren for many years, Jim was a 1956 graduate of St. Marys High School, and retired from Republic Steel in 1986. He moved to Tampa Bay Golf and Country Club in Florida in 1996. He loved golf and was active in the HOA and the Mens Golf Association. Jim married his first and only love of his life, Lillie Sayfoot, February 23, 1957, and they were together over 58 years. Jim recently wrote "I will always have my memories and joys that Lil and I had together through life. We always tried to use humor in our lives to handle stressful situations and conflicts. Lil and I went though many situations together and each one made our relationship stronger." He also wrote "Life has many crossroads and I guess how well we handle these situations depends on our upbringing and our personalities. I do believe there is a God and that someday we will be together again in eternal happiness. Life has been good to me and it has showered me with many blessings: great parents, good education, a free country to live in, good wife and healthy children, good job to support my family, good health, good retirement days and many more blessings. I thank God because he has answered my prayers showering me with these special blessings and given me a wonderful life here on earth with my Lillie Mae."
Jim will be sadly missed by his wife Lil, daughter Sandi Cauffield (Florida), son Dennis and Kathryn (Ohio), and sister Rose Marie and Eugene Fealko (Georgia). Jim was a parishioner of St. Ritas Catholic Church in Dade City, Florida.
