Obituary

James Eldridge Burnsed, 84, died October 22, 2020, with his family by his side. Jim was born in Lacoochee, FL February 17, 1936, and was a life-long resident of Lacoochee and Dade City, FL. Jim served his country as Sgt. First Class, US Army. Once retired, Jim received his Bachelor's degree from St. Leo College and went on to serve his community at Saint Anthony Catholic School. He was a member of the Dade City Masonic Lodge and a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Dade City. Jim began playing the piano as a child and became an accomplished pianist. Throughout his lifetime, he accompanied and performed at many church and social functions.

Jim was a loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Bauknight) Burnsed, Daughter, Michelle Burnsed, parents Leon and Bessie Burnsed and brother Kenneth Burnsed. Jim is survived by his daughters, Lenore Giella, Annie Teston (Brian) Vanessa Stefan (Greg) and sister Veda Lankford, grandsons Mason Etheridge (Sarah), Justin Register, and great-granddaughters Amelia and Halle Etheridge; and nieces and nephews.

Services will take place Wednesday morning at 10:00, October 28, 2020, at St. Mary's Episcopal Church. In Lieu of flowers, a donation to Gulfside Hospice would be appreciated.
