James B. (Jim) Baker passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016. He was born on June 9, 1931 in Louisville, Kentucky to George and Margaret (Bartley-Bott) Baker II. He is survived by his children: Mari Margaret (Carey) Ehrman, Jim Baker, Scott (Annie) Baker, and Dr. George (Flo) Baker IV; grandchildren: Chelsea (Matt) Nix, Casi (Robby) Gant, Tori Stanley, Jon (Jess) Ehrman, Bryant (Cortney) Ehrman, Peyton Baker, Jarrhett Baker, Jacob Baker and, Katie Simmons; great-grandchildren: Coleman and Riley Chrutcher, Haylee and Madison Gant, Ashton and Zona Nix, Luke, Kyle, Elliott, and Evan James Ehrman; brother: Jerry Baker. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Ruth; brother: George Baker III; sisters: Ora and Margaret Baker; brothers-in-law: Harvey and Jim Barnes. He was a member of Southeast Christian Church. He was a lifetime member of the PGA and has had four golf courses. He spent his last years spending time with his family and friends, playing golf, and eating at his favorite restaurant, Black-eyed Peas.
