James M. Alvarez, age 76, of Dade City passed away Friday, October 9th, 2020. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved wife Rosemary of 39 years. Jimmy was happiest surrounded by family and his animals. He spent his life raising rabbits, chickens and cattle. He enjoyed cooking breakfast for his family every Saturday. He was loved and respected by all that knew him and will be greatly missed.

Jimmy was born September 24th, 1944 in Tampa, FL and was the son of Julio and Providence (Clementi) Alvarez. He is survived by 2 siblings, Carmen Cacciatore and Julio Jr. (Christine) Alvarez; his 3 sons, James (Mary), Paul (Lisa), and Joseph Alvarez of Dade City; his grandchildren, Joey (Shannon), Ariell, Cody (Emily), Austin (Abigail), Zachary, Alexis; and his loving goddaughter Julie Zamora.

Services will be held Wednesday October 14th, 2020 at 12 noon at Hodges Funeral Home in Dade City. Family will receive friends from 11 am until time of service. Interment will follow at Trilby Cemetery.
