Jackie Earl Sanders

February 20, 1947 - September 2, 2022

Jackie Sanders of Dade City, Florida passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, September 2, 2022.

Jackie was born February 20, 1947, in Louisville, Alabama to Oscar and Sarah Sanders. At the age of 3, he was moved to Dade City and considered it his home until his death. He was the oldest of 6 children; his siblings: were Shirley, Cathy, Lisa, Bobby, and Josie.

He proudly served his country as a medic in the US Army in the sixties. After returning home, he resumed his job with Lykes Pasco and remained there for more than 30 years, moving from the barrel room to the 3rd shift supervisor. Not ready to embrace retirement, he worked another 17 yrs with A&K Energy. He made life-long friends and was respected by all that were fortunate enough to meet him.

Jackie is survived by his two daughters; Karen and Beverly, his six grandchildren; Brittany, Patrick, Gavin, Trista, Erin, and Jackson as well as 14 great-grandchildren that he absolutely adored. He was known for saying "I've lived a good life" and that he did. He has left a hole that can never be filled but we will live our lives in his honor every day and never forget.

The funeral service will be at the graveside at Dade City Cemetery on Monday, September 19, 2022, at 10:30 am followed by a small gathering of family and friends at the Moose Lodge 7107 US-301, Dade City, FL 33523.
