Jack A. Thiele, 83 of Dade City died Friday June 8, 2018 at his residence. Jack was preceded in death by his first wife of 38 years, Shirley R. Thiele, and a brother and sister in law Robert and Betty Thiele. Born in McKees Rocks PA, he was the son of the late Fredrick and Elizabeth (Grace) Thiele.

Jack spent four years active duty in the Air Force from 1953 to 1957 after which he was employed by Bell Telephone. He worked for the phone company in Pittsburgh PA, Greensburg PA, Bradford PA and West Chester PA, where he spent the remainder of his career, before retiring in 1990.

Jack is survived by his three daughters, Becky A. Thiele and her fiance Michael Tarasovitch of Erie, PA, Carol L. Thiele of Clarksburg, MD and Laura Thiele Wenger and her husband Kip Wenger of Knoxville, TN. Three grandchildren, Jennifer L. Hunt and her husband Nathan, Katherine E. Wenger and Matthew T. Wenger and three great grandchilden Madalyn, Elijah and Declan Hunt. He is also survived by the second love of his life and companion for the last 25 years, Joan Jarrett of San Antonio, FL, one brother Donald Thiele and his wife Jolan of The Villages, FL, his sisters-in-law Marjorie Stepek and husband John of West Grove, PA, and Karen Himmer and her husband Richard of Auburn, AL and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 1pm on Wednesday June 13, 2018 at Saint Mary's Episcopal Church, 37637 Magnolia Avenue, Dade City, Florida with a gathering to follow in the Parish hall. Graveside services will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in McKees Rocks, PA at a later date.
