Obituary

Jack was born in Monroe, Michigan and passed away in Zephyrhills, Florida.

Jack was born in Monroe, Michigan, and raised by his loving parents, Edwin and Delores Pfennig. Jack was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed watching the races with his wife Linda (preceded him in death) and his brother Steve. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved dog Lizzie who was at his side when God called him to his heavenly reward and who led the pastor to Jack’s bedside. Jack loved to play pranks on people just for fun and always picked on the servers in restaurants when he was out to eat. He sure could tell a good fish story about anything that had occurred. If it started out as a minnow, by the time he told the story it was an 8-foot bass.

Jack attended elementary school and middle school in Monroe, Michigan and was a high school graduate from Zephyrhills High School in 1977.

Jack moved to Zephyrhills, Florida with his family in 1976, returned to Michigan in 2019, then returned to Zephyrhills in 2024 and lived here until his death.

Jack had many careers in his lifetime. Directly out of high school he enlisted in the United States Army as a Heavy Equipment Operator, Transport. He was in the Army for 12 years. After that he began his career as an over the road truck driver and worked for CTL and Willis Shaw Express for a total 35 years and approximately 4,000,000 miles accident free. He also completed two tours in Iraq as an independent contractor for a total 18 months. Jack retired with Linda in 2024.

Jacks' hobbies were Nascar, watching old 50-60's television, listening to Willie’s Roadhouse on XM radio, putting puzzles together and going to and volunteering at the Pasco County Senoir Center in Dade City.

Jack Married the love of his life, Linda, November 10, 1996, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Zephyrhills.

Psalms 23

The Lord is my Shepard I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures

He leads me beside the still waters

He restoreth my soul

He guides me in the path of righteousness for his name ‘s sake

Even though I walk through the valley of shadow of death

I will fear no evil, for you are with me

Your rod and your staff they comfort me

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
