Ivan Dierdorff, 87, of Zephyrhills passed away October 14, 2014 at Gulfside Center for Hospice Care. He was born March 18, 1927 in Sweetland, IA to Rodney and Helen Dierdorff. Ivan served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired from Alcoa in Bettendorf, IA. Hobbies included woodworking, gardening and indian artifacts. He was a member of St. Elizabeths Episcopal Church in Zephyrhills. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie (Willits); brothers, Newton and Alan; sisters, Phyllis, June and Ellie; daughter in law, Karol Dierdorff. Survivors include wife, Marilyn (Boyer) Dierdorff; daughter, Deborah (Jim) Buskirk; son, Tim Dierdorff; 2 grandchildren, Michele (Phillip) Hoxsey and Mindy Taylor (Joel Fullmer); 8 great grandchildren; brothers, Dene and Curt; sister, Colleen Moeller; brother in laws, Robert, Jim, and Larry Willits. Visitation will take place 6-7:30 PM Friday, October 17th at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Zephyrhills. A Funeral Service will conducted 10:30 AM Saturday at St Elizabeths Episcopal Church in Zephyrhills with Fr. Scully officiating. He will be laid to rest at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Elizabeths or Gulfside Hospice.
