Iva Elizabeth Bryant (Granny), 95, Dade City, FL passed away at home peacefully in the loving arms of her family on January 29, 2016 so she could go to her heavenly home. She was born in Fowlers Bluff, FL in 1920 to Jim and Mattie Summers. She was predeceased by her husband; Elmer Bryant, son; Johnnie Bryant and great-grandson; Dwayne Floyd. She is survived by her sister; Lorine Elzey, of Gulf Hammock, FL, daughter; Alma Lee Surratt of Dade City and sons; E.J. Bryant (Claudia) of Ft. Myers, Morris Bryant (Jodi) of Claxton, GA, Terrell Floyd (Sherry), and Mark Floyd (Annette) of Dade City. Her grandchildren: Marci Surratt, Keith Surratt (Shirley), Ed Bryant, David Bryant (Anastasia), Deanne (Lee) Collins, and Michael (Shannon) Johnson. 14 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great Great Grandchildren.She was a charter member of the Withlacoochee Missionary Baptist Church in Dade City and dedicated her life to serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was employed by the Pasco County School system retiring in 1983. She prepared many a delicious meal for the children in Pasco County.She spent her entire life guiding, advising, nurturing, and most of all loving her family. Grannys home and kitchen were always open and there was always room for one more. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.Services will be provided by Hodges Family Funeral Home at the 5th Street Chapel in Dade City with Pastor John Lennard officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 5-7p.m. Funeral will be Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow immediately after at the Withlacoochee Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
