RISS, Irene 92 went to be with her Lord on April 17, 2016. After relocating from Danbury, CT she had lived for many years in Winter Haven, FL and Duncannon, PA before relocating to the Dade City/Zephyrhills area for her final years. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Albert M. Riss and is survived by her three children Judith Mobilio of Stamford, CT, Mark A. Riss of Dade City, FL and Debra Davis of Huntington Beach, CA, three grandchildren: Amy Caouette of Franklin, GA, Daniel Riss of Berwick, ME, Alexandra Hauck of Mannheim, PA and three great-grandchildren. Born on March 2, 1924 in Norwalk, CT, Irene left a successful career as an executive secretary to concentrate on raising her family. She enjoyed bowling, card playing with friends, and later in life, her grandchildren. She was addicted to all things chocolate. She enjoyed horseback riding and rode whenever she had the opportunity until late in her life. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, and was enormously proud of the hole in one she achieved at the age of 70. A woman of life long unwavering Christian faith, she was most recently a member of the First Community Church of Dade City. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 25, 2016 at the Hwy 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. Irene will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Lake Albert, FL at a later date. Funeral Service
