On October 13 th, 2020, at the age of 84, our beloved mother, Ida Grace Thomas passed through Heavens gate into the waiting arms of the Lord. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister. She was a devout member of the New Life Assembly of God in Trilacoochee where Reverend David C. Raley leads her Church family. Her mother and father, Richard Middleton Norby and Nona Grace Norby, preceded her. Her brothers Richard Norby, Nathan Norby, Lamar Boyakin, and her daughter Nona Pearl Beasley, also preceded her.

She is survived by her sisters, Audrey Faye Morfis and Thelma Jean Gilbert (David). Her surviving children are Grace Veriece Perez (Isaac), Harryman R. Beasley Sr., Kenneth Paul Beasley (Twila), Katherine Denise (Deni) Bandy, Tommy Edward Thomas (Serena), Richard Elmer Thomas (Bobbi Jo), and James Ernest Thomas (Tina). Grace is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Our Mom had a passion for giving. God gifted Mom with a talent to cook some delicious food and she would use that talent to hold fund raisers for those in need. She was also known for her pastries sometimes baking up to 500 cupcakes for the church family. Ceramics was another passion of hers. She would spend hours painting just that special piece for a friend who needed a little spirit lift. Always thinking of others. Our Mom.

Services will be held Friday, October 16th at 10:00 a.m. at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 15th at the funeral home.
