Hope Umbarger Pennington 94, of Dade City passed away Monday, March 7th, 2016. She was born January 6, 1922 in Ceres, VA to Henry Harlo & Evelyn Irene Layne Umbarger and was a member of the Dade City Free Methodist Church for 60 years. She was a school bus driver for Pasco County Schools and retired after 12 years of service. She is survived by 6 children: Albert J. Pennington Jr (Iris), Shorterville, AL, Kenneth Pennington (Earlene), Plant City, FL, Rhonda Duncan (Larry), Dade City, FL, Beverly Fullington, Dade City, FL, Darrell Pennington (Pat), Dade City, FL, Sylvia Christine Seaman, Musella, GA; 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Albert J. "Buzz" Pennington Sr; 2 children: M.H. Pennington, Gary Pennington and 6 siblings. Funeral services will be held 2pm Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens. Flowers will be gratefully accepted or those that wish may make donations in her memory to either the Free Methodist Church of Dade City or to Gulfside Regional Hospice. Visitation
