Hermoine (Kit) B. Claggett was born November 7, 1923, in Montevideo, Minnesota to Adolph and Maybelle Sundem. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She attended Montevideo schools graduating in 1941. On June 17, 1941, she was united in marriage to Robert (Bob) A. Claggett (also from Montevideo) in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She was a loving wife and mother. She was a home maker whose hobbies included sewing and cooking. She also assisted her husband Bob in several businesses including building homes in Claggett Addition in Montevideo, and working on seaplane pontoons (Floats) at Aqua Floats in Minnesota then in Florida. She also enjoyed cooking for guests at Hill Lake Lodge in Canada and loved fishing with her family. She was an Eastern Star member for many years. She is survived by 3 sons: Terry Claggett and his wife Helen of Alexandria, Minnesota; Brad Claggett and his wife Carol of Battle Lake, Minnesota; Brian Claggett and his wife Donna of Zephyrhills, Florida; a grandson Cory Claggett of Gibsonton, Florida; sister Phyllis Wik of Montevideo, Minnesota, brother Allen Sundem and wife Nancy of Gilbert, Arizona; several nieces and nephews; and 2 step grandsons.She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Claggett; son Jeffrey, parents, Adolph and Maybelle Sundem; brother, Darrell Sundem; sister Marvel Moe; and granddaughter, Naija Claggett.Hermoine Claggett died on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in Zephyrhills, Florida at the age of 91. She will be dearly missed.Services will be held in Montevideo, Minnesota in the spring.
