Helon Johnson Ryals went home to be with her Lord on August 2, 2012 at the HPH Hospice in Dade City, Florida. Helon was born on April 29, 1915 in Wauchula, Florida, the first child of Bethel C. Johnson and Ruby Johnson Thurmond. Helon graduated from Manatee County, FL. High School and attended business school. She became the Senior Accountant and Treasurer and retired from the Citrus Machinery Corporation, Orlando, Florida. Helon and her late husband Marvin C. Ryals of Warner Robins, GA were married on December 6, 1941. Marvin immediately joined the U S Army Air Corps where he served in England with the 8TH Air Force. He then returned to Orlando where they lived for the rest of their lives. They were married 61 years. Helon, whose nickname is Neenie is survived by her brothers, Winston of Atlanta, GA and Hjalma of Dade City. She is also survived by her daughter, Pat Garmany, Pats children, Angie, Ron and Ken, Nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held at the McCullough Funeral Home of Warner-Robins, GA on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Magnolia Park Cemetery.
