Helen Yebba 80, of Zephyrhills, FL passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014 in Dade City under the care of HPH Hospice. She was born December 30, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY to James F. & Florence Sherman McCarthy and was a longtime area resident. She was a devout Catholic having been a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zephyrhills for many years and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband: Simone Sonny Yebba. She is survived by 6 children: Diane Howton, Angelo Yebba, Donna West, Deborah McCarthy, James Yebba, Charles Yebba; niece: Fran Metcalf; 20 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held 10am Friday, September 19, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dade City. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Thursday evening at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. Flowers will be gratefully accepted or those that wish may make donations in Helens memory to HPH Hospice.
