Hazel Diane Adams, age 74, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, in Dade City, Florida, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on June 2, 1951, in Atlanta, Georgia, Hazel was the daughter of Henry Clay Harper and Tyra Lois Harper.

Hazel lived a life filled with love, kindness, and quiet strength. She was known for her warm heart and her ability to make everyone around her feel cared for. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a sharp mind, and a gentle spirit that drew people to her. Hazel loved spending time outdoors and found joy in simple pleasures—being in the sunshine, tending to flowers, and caring for animals. Her favorite color was yellow, a perfect reflection of the light she brought into the lives of others.

Hazel treasured her family above all else. She is survived by her daughter Melissa Barnett, and her son-in-law Terry Barnett, Sr. She was a devoted grandmother to Dillon Barnett, Terry Barnett, Jr., Jesse Barnett, and Jamie Barnett, and a proud great-grandmother to many great-grandsons and great-granddaughters whom she loved dearly. Hazel also leaves behind several brothers and sisters—some who have passed before her and others who continue to carry her memory forward.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Tyra Harper, as well as several beloved siblings who welcomed her home with open arms.

Hazel's legacy is one of unconditional love, resilience, and quiet beauty. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at the family's home, where loved ones will gather to honor her memory and share stories of the joy she brought into their lives.

Her light will forever shine in the hearts of those who love her.
