Hanne L. Jordan, 97, passed away on January 27th, 2022, after a long battle with Alzheimers. Hanne was born December 29, 1924 in Erfurt, Germany as the only child of Johanna and Fredrich Starkloff. When Germany became divided, she moved to Frankfurt. This is where she met her future husband, Jim Jordan. He was stationed there in the Army. Jim and Hanne worked in the same American finance office. When Jim returned to Dade City, Hanne followed and managed to get a position as a nanny for Lily Pulitzer. After a few years Hanne and Jim married and made their home in Dade City, Florida. Hanne always had a passion for children. She was a Sunday school teacher, swimming teacher (51 years), cub scout and girl scout leader, pediatric nurse and also had her own preschool for 33 years. Hanne loved the outdoors, especially the water! She was an amazing gardener, loved music, reading, history and travel. Hanne made a huge impact on the children of Dade City, a city she loved! Hanne was a loving mother, Oma and mother-in-law. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends but was especially fond of her time she spent with her grandchildren. Hanne is survived by her daughter Deborah, son Tom and daughter-in-law Mary Lou. Grandchildren; Melanie, Shannon, Cameron, Jordan, Julia. Great grandchildren; Cedric, Celina, Marcel, and Ethan. Hanne was preceded in death by her husband James T. Jordan. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Marys Episcopal Church, or a charity of your choice.
