Gustavo Aristeo-Ortiz passed away in Dade City, Florida on the morning of Thursday, December 4, 2025 at the age of 58. He was surrounded by love and family.

He was born to parents J. Guadalupe Aristeo and Juana Ortiz Bernabe on November 18th, 1967 in Ciudad Hidalgo, Michoacan in Mexico. Eventually, he made his way to the United States and married Alma Lopez de Aristeo in May of 2012.

Gustavo worked hard and made a life for himself and his family. He proudly stepped into the role of fatherhood, welcoming 5 children: Diana Moreno, Freddie Marquez, Luis Marquez, Darlene Aristeo, and Gustavo Aristeo Jr. He treasured time as a grandfather to Edgar, David, Mateo, and Maverick. His family members fondly remember him as the life of the party, dancing to any beat.

Gustavo is predeceased by his parents, J. Guadalupe Aristeo and Juana Ortiz Bernabe.

Gustavo is survived by his loving wife, Alma Lopez de Aristeo, and his five children: Diana Moreno (Chago), Freddie Marquez, Luis Marquez (Annalou), Darlene Aristeo (Juan) and Gustavo Aristeo Jr. He is also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Edgar Andres Rodriguez, David Moreno Magana, Mateo Moreno Magana, and Maverick Marquez.

Services for Gustavo Aristeo-Ortiz will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. The visitation will be at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City, Florida at 10:00 AM. Mass will be held at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Dade City, Florida at 11:30 AM. Burial is to follow at Chapel Hill Gardens.
