In Loving Memory of Griston Jerry Larramore

August 28, 1939 – May 6, 2025

Griston Jerry Larramore, 85, of Lacoochee, Florida, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, in Dade City, Florida.

Born on August 28, 1939, at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital, Griston was the beloved son of the late Aubrey and Rena-Bell Larramore. He grew up surrounded by his siblings—Sylvia, Franklin, Randy, Renne, and Robbie—and carried the values of family, hard work, and faith with him throughout his life.

Griston proudly served his country in the United States Navy and later built a lifelong career as a Heavy Equipment Operator. A man of grit and heart, he was known for his strong work ethic, quick wit, and deep love for his family.

On December 7, 1986, he married the love of his life, Sharon Clark. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories in Lacoochee, FL.

Griston was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He had a passion for NASCAR, fishing, a talent for playing the guitar, and a voice he loved to share through singing. He also found joy in the simple pleasures of life—spoiling his grandchildren, playing scratch-off tickets, and spending time with those he loved.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Sharon Larramore; his children: Janice, Tim, Cindy, Warren, Curtis, Tina, and Dana; his cherished grandchildren: Josh, Tony, Jennifer, Cristal, Robbie, Justin, Destinee, Jon-Jon, Jennafer, Ashley, Courtney, Christopher, Jerry, Brian, Tabitha, James, and Levi; and 17 treasured great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death David, Sheila, and Jackie, and will be joyfully reunited with them in eternal rest.

Griston's legacy is one of strength, love, and a life well-lived. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A celebration of life will be held at a Saturday May 10,2025 at the First Baptist Church in Lacoochee, FL at 12pm. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, you honor Griston's memory by sharing a story, casting a fishing line, playing a tune on the guitar, or simply spending time with loved ones.
