Gregory James Hanson, 83, longtime resident of Dade City, died peacefully on July 17, 2024. Born in Lacrosse, WI on May 28, 1941, he was the son of Audrey and Milton Hanson and husband of Marie until her passing in 2022. Marie and Greg were married on March 7, 1970, in Clarendon Hills, Illinois. They started their life together in the Plainfield area of Illinois before moving to Florida in 1983. He served his country in the United States Navy. Once he left the military, he went on to become a pipe fitter. He loved to attend local stock car races in his spare time. Survivors include his children Terri Severson Capehart, Tony (Jayne) Hanson, Dino (Haddie) Hanson, Mark (MaryAnn) Hanson, grandchildren: Lisa, Danielle, Michael, Samantha, Emily, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his grandson Jacob and his wife Marie. A service is to be held at Florida National Cemetery at a later date.
