PORTER, Gloria Mae 84, of Tallahassee, entered into heaven Monday, May 9, 2016. She was born Aug. 9, 1931 in Limestone, ME to Harry and Pauline Getchell. She married the love of her life, Leo G. Porter Jr., Feb. 16, 1951 in Hampden, ME. She found her greatest joy cooking and baking for her family and friends. She is survived by children, Gary (JoAnn) of Foley, AL, Gayle Porter of Tallahassee, Linda Butler (John) of Hewitt, TX, and Lance (Karla) of Cumming,GA; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Ernest (Lucy) Getchell of Massachusetts and Wayne (Sally) Getchell of Florida. She is predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Leo G Porter Jr.; parents, Harry and Pauline Getchell; sister, June Bell; and brother, Alfred Getchell. Visitation will be held May 13, Friday, at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 36327 Hwy. 54, Zephyrhills 33541, 10-11 am, with service at 11 am. Burial following immediately after at Oakside Cemetery.
