Gloria Farrington of Zephyrhills, FL passed away unexpectedly May 5th, 2023. She is survived by her husband Wayne, sister Diann and brother-in-law Evan Hansen, brothers Bryant and Thomas Castle, sisters Lucinda Bilodeau and Lyn Castle and sister-in-law Lynn Heck and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. Born to Pauline and Edwal Castle in her grandmothers home in South China, Maine, Gloria Jean Castle was the eldest of six siblings. She married Wayne Farrington in 1968, and lived in Chelsea, Maine until they moved to Zephyrhills, Florida in 1997. Gloria was generous, good natured and devoted to family and friends. She opened her heart and home to many and held a very close relationship with her eldest niece Angela and husband Allen Craig and their two children. She lived life out loud, passionately, unapologetically and always on her own terms. She loved traveling, loud socks, cats, dogs, cooking, sewing, and building things and especially loved accumulating kitchen items, electronic gadgets and tools for her hobbies. She also enjoyed reading and watching movies. Gloria was also a business woman with a good work ethic. She worked for the State of Maine for 15 years and later, with Wayne, owned and operated F&H Pavement Marking, Inc. After moving to Zephyrhills, she worked and lived in Palm View Gardens and then worked for Radio Shack, Home Depot, Florida Medical Clinic Pharmacy and Tampa Machinery Auction, Inc., until she retired. Most recently, she cared for her mother Pauline who passed away in January of this year. Gloria will be dearly missed by family and friends.
