Carlson, Glenn R. 65 of Ridge Manor, FL passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015 at his home. He was born July 6, 1950 in Carlisle, PA to Carl & Ann Heyne Carlson. He worked for many years with the Lykes Pasco Packing Company following his career with Pinellas County Law Enforcement and was an avid animal lover who enjoyed spending time with his dogs and horses. Glenn will forever be loved by his wife: Judy; mother: Ann Carlson, Town & Country; brother: Mark & Susan Carlson, St. Petersburg; several nieces and nephews including: Sarah Carlson, Ben Carlson, Adrian, Peyton and Yova; step-children: Christine, Ryan and Stephanie Rundle; and grandchildren: Taylor & Jordan. He was preceded in death by his father: Carl Carlson. He will be remembered for his subtle sense of humor and his words of advice such as, This might be as good as it gets so do your best, Focus, Forget the past and do your best with no regrets. Many times he said, Once a Cop, Always a Cop and with that in mind, our Heavenly Father called his name on one last roll call. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Saturday August 22, 2015 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home where a Memorial Service will be held at 6:30pm. Flowers will be gratefully accepted or those that wish may make donations in his memory to the Humane Society.
