Obituary

DUNN, Glenda P. "Dallas" (Booth), 70, formerly of Dade City, passed away Dec. 14, 2017, at her home in Webster. Glenda was born in Suwanee, Tenn., on April 20, 1947, to William Milton and Ada Ruth Hendry, who preceded her in death. She spent most of her life in Dade City until marrying Darrell Willis Booth and eventually moving to Texas where she dedicated her days to being a homemaker, wife and mother until she returned to Florida to live out the remainder of her life amongst friends and family. Glendas interests included sewing, needlework, crocheting, macram and furniture upholstery. Using the love of the latter, she was able to enhance her income until her final days. These one-of-a-kind crafts can be found inside many of her familys and friends homes. She also enjoyed antiques, gardening, music, spending time outdoors and sharing her time with her loved ones. Roller skating and dancing were two of her favorite physical activities and she was amazing to watch as shed enjoyed these immensely. When she was not outside, she loved to watch movies with her dog, Bubba, by her side. Her unwavering love of God and her church was evident in her dedication to several religious ministries and countless Bible studies. Glenda is survived by four children: Christina "Tina" Marie James (Booth), 54, of Phoenix, Ariz., and her husband, Terry Bick; Damon Wayne Carson, 52, of Dade City, and his long-term partner, Jessica Knight; Jonathan Jason Booth, 51, of Houston Texas, and his wife, Kym Alvarado Booth; and Katie Michelle Booth, 49, of Phoenix. A son, Darron Lee Booth, was born in 1966 and preceded her in death in 1987. Also, six grandchildren, Lauren Marie Cusimano, 32, of Phoenix; Sean Lee Bourgeois, 28, of Jackson, Mich.; Matthew Thomas Kendrick, 28, of Tampa; Rachel Marie James, 23, of Phoenix: Jonathan Dean "JD" Booth, of Houston; and Austin Barclay Booth, 6, of Houston, survive. One grandson, Charles Dennis Booth, was born in 1986 and preceded her in death in 2003. Also surviving are four siblings, Louise Hendry of Dade City; Sheila Ann Jones, 64, and her husband, Theodore "Ted", of Dade City; James "Jim" Milton Hendry, 69, and his wife, Diane, of Wilsonville, Ore.: and, Ruthie Marie Sedicino and her husband, Patrick "Pat", of Spring Hill. A sister, Mildred Ruth Melton, who was born in 1944. of Inverness, married to Lloyd, preceded her in death in 2014. Several nieces and nephews, and other relatives also survive. A private memorial service will be held on Jan. 29. Hodges Family Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
