Gladys McLeod Pratt, age 79, of Dade City, FL, passed away on Sunday, July 21st, 2024. She was born on Wednesday, December 13th, 1944 in Barrow-in-Furness, England to parents William and Gladys McLeod. Gladys met the love of her life, Leo Pratt Jr, and they were married on August 24th, 1968 in Auburn, Massachusetts. Gladys came to America as a nanny for a year, planning to move back to England until she met Leo. They have been happily married for nearly 56 years. Gladys worked for Hallmark Marketing, starting out maintaining cards in local stores before moving up to become a district representative in Maine, New Hampshire, and parts of Massachusetts. She was well-known in the company for her work ethic and numerous achievements. In her free time, Gladys enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to music, dancing, boating, and traveling all over the United States, Mexico, and Canada with her husband in their RV. She also traveled to England, Scotland, and Spain. Gladys is survived by her devoted husband, Leo Pratt Jr of Dade City, FL; her loving children, Tammy Gray and her husband Lewis Gray of North Monmouth, ME, and Dwayne Pratt of Sabattus, ME; her cherished grandchildren, Nathan Bourgoin and his wife Emily Bourgoin, Taylorlee Nye and her husband Chris Nye, Caleb Pratt, Emma Gray, and Cowen Pratt; her brothers, William McLeod and Stuart McLeod; and many nieces and nephews who adored her. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Gladys McLeod, as well as her siblings, Gordon McLeod and Mildred Jackson. Gladys will be remembered for her honesty, lovability, perfectionism, and caring nature. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life for Gladys will be held on Saturday, September 28th from 1-4 pm at Marco's in Lewiston, Maine.
