Gerald L. "Jerry" Marcum 82 , of Dade City, FL passed away Sunday, March 7th, 2021 in Zephyrhills. He was born August 29, 1938 in Knoxville, TN to Henry Marcum and Hazel Jackson Marcum. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 - 1969 and the Reserves from 1969 - 1973; he was discharged as a Captain.

He was predeceased by his parents, Henry & Hazel Marcum, a daughter Shannon, and sister Nadine. Jerry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cookie; daughter, Ginnie (Bill) Logan, sons: Mitchell (Kristine) Marcum and Christopher Marcum; sister, Katherine Motriuk; honorary brother, Clarence Hicks and honorary son, David Watkins; and grandchildren: Bailey Canales (Roxanne), Alyssa Marcum and Saylur Marcum.

He was a simple man with a brilliant mind, a kind and generous spirit and quick to give an encouraging word to all people. His favorite words of encouragement was "to love the Lord your God with all of your heart and love your neighbor as yourself, and the rest will take care of itself."

Private services will take place at a later date at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to either St. Jude's Children's Hospital, The Shriner's, the Never Ending Shoe program, Gideon's International, or the Samaritans Purse in Jerry's memory.
