Gerald "Stephen" Joslin (70) left this world on Sunday, September 9, 2019. He had struggled with health issues in the past, but always seemed to beat the odds. He used to tell his wife that God didn't want him yet. Sadly, suddenly, he was gone.

He leaves behind his wife, Diane Joslin, who he long ago promised to make laugh every day (a promise he kept!) and three children that he helped raise and was in the process of becoming legal guardian to, three people who always knew him as Poppy: Michael (Mick the Tic), Joseph (Joseephus), and Sophie (Soap Bubble). Also, Diane's sons, Kevin (and wife Dawn) and Kris (who called Stephen Stone Cold Steam Joslin). His Florida family will remember him for his kindness and generosity, his strength and wisdom, his ability to love deeply, and for his incredible sense of humor.

He is survived by his three beautiful daughters who live in Michigan - Claire Joslin Hinkle (Claire Bear), her husband John and their daughter, Hannah; Lauren Joslin Barch (Laurenski T Stinkerbottom), her husband Paul and their son Dominic; and Jennifer Joslin Gilboe (Nips), her husband Tom and their children Madeline and Joseph. His children will remember a dad who taught them to ride bikes, to love to read, to find humor in just about any situation, and to be curious about the world around them.

He will meet up with his parents, Norma and Gerald and other friends and family, and his son Jerry Joslin (Mini-me), who will show him where the best burgers in the afterlife can be found.

Stephen's passing leaves a hole in our hearts that we will fill with good memories to help keep us strong, until we meet again

Family will receive friends on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 3:30 p.m. until service time at 4:00 p.m. at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 36327 State Road 54, Zephyrhills, Florida 33541.
