Gerald Ralph Butler Jr., He was a fisher, big time grinner, heart of a lover, and little bit a sinner, never tried to hurt no-one, he was a joker, marlboro smoker, always been a midnight toker and March 28, 2023 at the age of 56, he had his last day under the sun. He is survived by his children, Nicole Shaffer, Eric Butler, Christopher Sparks; his spouse, Tonya Piotrowski; his grandchildren, Kayleigh Shaffer, Joseph Ducharme, Eric Butler Jr., Donald Shaffer Jr., and Stella Butler; his sister Shawna Crisp; his Aunt, Pamela Helmuth; and ex-wife Pamela Butler. Born on February 23, 1967 in Pottstown, PA to Gerald Butler and Mary Crisp. He spent his younger childhood in California before moving to Las Vegas, NV where he spent his teenage and early adult years. Jerry was a jack of all trades, however, his most accomplished skill set was painting million dollar homes and fishing anywhere he could throw a pole in the water. He was a hard worker and a family man. Die hard Dale Earnhardt and Cowboys fan through and through, you could always catch him with a Budweiser in his hand and a smile on his face. He could drive the hell out of anything with a motor in it and traveled all over the country as a truck driver for many years before moving to Gatesville, NC where he raised his kids. He loved the simple life and will always consider North Carolina as home. He moved Dade City, FL in 2004 where he spent the latter part of his years. Jerry was a loving father who took extreme pride in his children, spending as much time as he could with family. He had a contagious laugh and made friends anywhere he roamed, along with a deep love for fishing, camping, and just sitting by the water to enjoy the calm and peace. He made it a point to instill those traditions into his kids and grandkids as well. His big smile, kind heart and laugh will be incredibly missed by all that knew him and all that knew Jerry, loved him. He requested not to have a funeral or big service but instead have a party in his memory. We will be holding a Celebration of his life on April 16, 2023 at 1pm.
