Trebour, George Milton 75, of Zephyrhills, FL passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Bayfront Medical Center in Dade City. He was born February 26, 1940 in Vineland, NJ to Ernest & Anna Wendell Trebour. The Trebour family moved to Zephyrhills in 1950. George graduated from Zephyrhills High School in 1958. He graduated from Florida State University in 1962. He did course work towards a Masters degree at University of Kansas and served with the Peace Corp for two and a half years in Costa Rica. He moved to Hawaii and earned a Masters degree in linguistics from the University of Hawaii. George lived in Hawaii and part time in California doing various careers in culinary and custodial ventures. Then the opportunity to work and teach in Japan with the Sundai Institute presented itself, so George moved there. He was a Professor of Linguistics and Editor/Translator. George returned to Zephyrhills in 2008 and was able to be an avid Gardener at his home in Green Hills Estates. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ernest and Anna Trebour and brothers: Robert Garland, David Trebour and Fredrick Trebour and sister Linda Trebour. He is survived by his 3 sisters: Mary Ann Ainsworth, Dade City, FL, Judith (Roger) Sibley, Zephyrhills, FL, Patricia Heath, Kathleen, FL; 2 brothers: John (Sue) Trebour, Zephyrhills, FL, Ernest (Shirley) Trebour, Zephyrhills, FL; sisters in law: Dona Trebour, Zephyrhills, FL, Kay Garland, Barney, Georgia and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 5pm-8pm Saturday evening, September 19, 2015 at Cooper Hall, located at the First United Methodist Church in Zephyrhills.
