Gary E. Tronkowski, age 63, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills. He was born in Bridgeport, CT, son of the late Edward and Lucy (Rock) Tronkowski, and lived in Trumbull, CT before retiring to Florida. He worked as a sheet metal mechanic and assembler for Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, CT and was a member of the Miamogue and East End Yacht Clubs in Bridgeport. Drag racing, football, fishing and playing cards were his passions, and those who knew him found him to be quite the practical joker. Survivors include his daughter, Sarah Tronkowski of New York, his sisters, Gail Tronkowski of New Hampshire and Lynn Meyer of Connecticut, his grandson, Zachary Stuck of Tennessee, several nieces, a nephew and former spouse, Helen Tronkowski of CT. Thanks go out to Susie and Ed for caring for Gary these last few years and to Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City, FL for handling the arrangements. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
