Gary Fagan left this earthly life on August 5, 2018. He was born April 13, 1938 in Hillsboro, AL. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp from 1958 to 1961. He was predeceased by brothers Leroy and Jasper Fagan, two sisters Dorothy Terry and Elaine Terry, and his parents Dave and Sadie Fagan. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Burnsed Fagan. He is also survived by two sons, Derek (Judy) Fagan, Michael (Lisa) Fagan; two grandsons, Trevor (Sherry) Fagan, Tyler (Jenna) Fagan; two granddaughters Samantha (Daniel) Burnett and Cortney (Ryan) Wilhite; four great grandsons, Camden Fagan, Easton Fagan, Jase Burnett and Lane Burnett. He is also survived by one brother, Joe Fagan of Decatur, AL. He was a member of the Trillacoochee Church of Christ. He was employed at Pasco Motors in Dade City as a mechanic for several years and then owned and operated Garys Standard Service Station at 112 East Meridian in Dade City for 10 years. He later was a long-distance truck driver with Lindsay Transport for about 10 years and later hauled fruit locally for Pasco Packing and then Oakley Transport. Family was so important to him and a cherished memory was teaching his sons and grandchildren to fish. When he was no longer able to fish, he enjoyed talking with them about their fishing trips. He was always available to give them any advice on fishing he thought they might use. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gulfside Hospice, 2061 Collier Pkwy., Land O Lakes, FL 34639 Funeral services will be Wednesday August 8 at Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 Chapel, Dade City, Fl.
