Franklin Weitershausen 84, of Dade City passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018. He was born October 5, 1933 in Pittsburg, PA to Russell Charles & Loretta M. Hamilton Weitershausen Sr. Franklin loved all who crossed his path, he was known as papa to everyone he met. He loved all sports and was a die heart Steelers fan! Franklin lived through his grandchildren and family. His main goal was to always remain humble and make everyone around happy. No matter where he was, his smile would radiate leaving those around nothing but an overcoming of warmth and delight. He was a safe haven with high spirits. Not an ill spoken bone in his body, simply uplifting and the most encouraging man you could meet. He had a laugh that rang like golden bells and a funny fun filled shirt for every special occasion or just because; papa was known for his choices in special shirts. He was retired from the Accelerated Gas Industry and was a US Army Veteran, one of the most modest souls anyone was to meet.
