Franklin Delano Hoffman, 77, of Zephyrhills FL, passed away on July 27, 2022 in his home surrounded by his wife and daughters.
He was born May 7th 1945 to Nowry Hoffman Sr. and Sedessa Provience (Proudfit) Hoffman of Port Allegany, PA.
He attended Port Allegany High School, then served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He married Debra Taylor in 1970-they moved to Zephyrhills FL a few years later. He worked as a painting contractor in Zephyrhills and Tampa in the 1970s and 1980s. When he relocated to Henderson County North Carolina, he enjoyed woodworking as a trade. He also owned and operated Frankie D's Dairy Bar in Mills River NC, which he took great pride in.
He had had many hobbies and interests throughout the years, but the one that always remained was socializing at local restaurants where he made many friends over the years. He was always jokester and quite a story teller.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Nowry Hoffman Jr, and sisters Elizabeth Sherwood, Blanche Crane, and Lila Wilson.
He is survived by his devoted wife Debby Hoffman, his daughters Heather Hoffman of Zephyrhills and Melanie Hoffman Bryan and her husband Casey Bryan of Zephyrhills, grandchildren Jordan Hoffman, Aidan Bryan, Emma Bryan, and Zander Bryan, his sister Iva Sedessa Green of Eldred PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Interment will be on August 5 at 11am in the Columbarium at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell FL . A reception will follow at Joann's Restaurant in Zephyrhills.
