Frankie Sumner Goldsby (Wubbena) 83, of St. Petersburg , Fl passed away on August 19, 2023 after a long battle with dementia. Frankie was a descendant of the Pasco County pioneering families of Sumner's and Thrasher's. Born on December 17, 1939 in Dade City to parents Joseph D Sumner and Ruth Auton Sumner. Frankie graduated from Pasco High School class of 1957 and received her Bachelor of Nursing degree from Florida State University. Frankie spent her entire career helping others as a Registered Nurse, a Public Health Nurse at Pasco Co. Health Department and completed her career as a District Supervisor for the State of Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services in Pasco and Pinellas Counties. Upon retirement, Frankie enjoyed traveling with Richard in their motor home throughout the States. Frankie's new profession soon became yard sale explorer and the spoiling granny to the grandchildren. Preceding her in death was husband Jon E. Wubbena (1992), husband John Richard Goldsby (2011), father Joseph D. Sumner (1959), step-father C.H. Hoffman (1999) and mother Ruth A. Hoffman (2011). Frankie is survived by sons Joseph P. Wubbena (Lisa), Charles D. Wubbena (Jaime) and daughter Sandra Kaye Kirkpatrick (Steve Parramore). Sister Joann S. Bandy and brother David E. Sumner. Grandchildren: Amanda, Lyndsi, Charles Jr., Kaci, Kayla, and Hannah and five great-grand children. Services will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. Visitation begins at 9:30 a.m. with Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Dade City Cemetery.
