Francis Paul Greif was born on January 22, 1946, and passed on September 7, 2022, at his home in San Antonio, Florida. He was under the care of Gulfside Hospice.

Francis was the son of Charles and Clara Greif and was a lifetime resident of San Antonio. He retired from Suburban Propane, where he was a LP Gas serviceman for 40 years. He served in the United States Army and continued his service with the Florida National Guard, retiring after 20+ years. He was an avid fisherman and took every opportunity to drop a line in a nearby lake or pond. Those that knew him would say that he was a great, honest, Christian man that never met a stranger. Moreover, you knew he liked you if he teased you. The lives he has touched over the years will definitely feel his absence.

Francis is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Charles; Robert; and William. He is survived by his wife, Pamela. His brothers: Casper (Jane); Art (Jeannie); and John (Amy). His children: Stephanie Polk, Lori Carter, Chris (Jennifer) Gude, and Caroline Goolsby.

His grandchildren: Kayla, Cheyanne, Cauy,

Laci, Carly and Shalyn. His great grandchildren: Taleah, Payton, Zoey and Kali. His nephews: William, Arthur, Joseph, Bobby, and John Paul. His nieces: Theresa (Mark), Anna, Lisa and Elizabeth. And many beloved cousins and friends.

A memorial Mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in San Antonio. Details for this service will be announced as soon as possibleServices will be held at the Dade City Christian Church in Dade City, on September 16, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. A reception will follow the services at the church hall and final internment will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at 1:45 p.m. Please join us and wear blue.
