Frances Darleen Smith, age 63, lost her battle with cancer on September 12, 2023, with her husband, daughter, and best friend by her side. Her last days were filled with lots of love. Frances was known for being a beloved hairdresser in her hometown of Dade City for over 20 years. She enjoyed shopping with her daughter and granddaughter as well as spending time with her husband. Frances was also known for her laughter, generosity, and sweet soul. She is loved by not only her family but the community she grew up in and beyond and will be greatly missed by all. Frances is survived by her husband of almost 40 years, James Smith. She had one daughter, Amber Matthews (Tyler). Frances loved nothing more than to spend time with her granddaughter, Amelia. John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?" Visitation will be held on Monday, Sep 18, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City with services starting at 12:00 p.m. Immediately to follow will be the burial at Floral Memory Gardens.
