Frances Bruso Mitchell, 85, of Saratoga Springs, NY died on September 29, 2021 at The Rucki Hospice Care Center in Zephyrhills, FL. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Floral Memory Gardens in Dade City with Father Henry Riffle officiating. Funeral services will be graveside in observance of social distancing. Frances was born in Saratoga Springs, NY to Frances & Joseph Bruso on November 24, 1935. She enjoyed sports and cooking from scratch. She married Lawrence Mitchell on May 19, 1956 and had three children. Frances was a homemaker and supported her husband in his career working for the airlines. They relocated to Tampa, FL in 1965 and stayed local for the remainder of her life. She was a devoted wife & mother often supporting her children in their after-school activities as a softball coach and Girl Scout Leader. Frances was known for her home-cooked meals, charity to children & elderly, and quick-witted personality. She was strong and compassionate, loved by family and friends. Her greatest wish was for everyone in the world to be happy. Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Mitchell, son, Patrick Mitchell, sister, Patricia Hall, brother, John Bruso, and brother, Robert Bruso. Frances is survived by her son Lawrence Mitchell Jr. (Rhonda), daughter, Frances McAllister (Thomas), daughter-in-law Linda Mitchell, 10 grandchildren (Owen, Patrick, Amanda, Andrew, Kevin, Austin, Kathryn, Lauren, Daniel & Michael), and 9 great-grandchildren (Riley, Taylor, Hailey, Tyler, Zachary, Kaden, Kara, Brianna, & Ryann).
