Elwell, Frances Anna, 85, of Dade City, FL, beloved mother, doting grandmother loving sister and best friend passed away on February 9, 2014, at home under the care of HPH Hospice. Born on October 21, 1928 in Sarasota, FL, she was the only daughter of Joseph and Anna Steiert. A long time resident of Pasco County, her family moved to San Antonio in 1938, when her father worked for Saint Leo Abbey.France attended Holy Name Academy graduating in 1945. She married in 1952 and had 3 children William, Michael and Linda. Frances was employed and retired after 25 years as a bookkeeper at Saint Leo College. After retiring she worked part time at Saint Anthony of Padua Church and enjoyed volunteering at DayStar Hope Center. Frances loved to sew and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.Mom will be remembered by her 3 children William, Michael, and Linda (Frassrand), granddaughter Erica Elwell, grandson Matt Frassrand (Jenn), great grandchildren Kennedy, Nicholas and Madison. Her brothers Joseph (Delores) Steiert of Portland, Oregon, Alfred Steiert of Austin, Texas, Leonard (Nancy) Steiert, Okeechobee, Florida and many nieces and nephews.Preceding her in death were her parents, a sister-in-law Gerrie Steiert of Austin, Texas and a brother Fred Steiert of San Antonio, Florida.Momma, thanks for the love and guidance.
