WIECK, Floyd Edward, 66, of Dade City, FL, a loving husband, dedicated father and witty grandfather, unexpectedly passed away Wednesday November 14th, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward J & Alice M. Wieck. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Annette (Rossi) Wieck and their little princess, Gucci (Dog); his son Chris (Lori) Wieck & grandchildren Breeanna, Madison, Bobby and Clayton of Zephyrhills, FL; his brother Larry (Pat) Wieck of Buena Park, CA; his sister Sandy (John) Slager of Beecher, IL; his sister Debbie Lomeli of Highland, IN & many close friends. In his early years, being raised in Illinois, Floyd was prosperous and traveled worldwide as a conveyor installation engineer for Bakers Equipment. After settling out of the installation business, he became a mechanic for Gold Medal Bakery in California. It is here that he met the owners daughter and love of his life, Annette. It was a world wind romance meeting in January and marrying 2 months later. Once a family man, Floyd decided on a career at Agrico Chemical in Florida, where he stayed for 5 years. After leaving Agrico, he determined that entrepreneurship was in his future, owning his own bread delivery service. It is here that he spent many quality bonding days delivering bread to local vendors with his young son Chris. Floyd spent his remaining working years as a sales representative for Woodmen of the World. Throughout his life, Floyd was a member of organizations including the Sandy Pond Sportsman Association and Zephyr Lodge 198 (he was a Mason for over 25 years). Floyd was an avid bowler, camper and fisherman. He was also an extreme western movie buff, with his favorite being John Wayne. For the last three years, Floyd & Annette spent the summer months in upper state New York (Sandy Creek) at the Colonial Court Campground where they made many new and cherished friends. In his final years Floyd had the great joy of watching his grandchildren growing up. He loved watching the boys play in their baseball and football games. He loved watching the girls cheerlead for their brothers. He loved to wrestle with the boys and tease the girls about their boyfriends. To them he was the funniest Grandpa in the world. He kept them on their toes, never knowing what he was going to say next. You always knew where you could find him when he was at their house, in his favorite spot, in front of the fish tank. He loved watching the fish! Floyd was an honorable and loyal man with an outgoing personality, a man that had the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, whether he knew them or not, a man that kept everyone around him in stitches from his jokes and witty comments, a man that wouldnt think twice about helping someone. He was a loving husband, dedicated father/grandfather and a devoted friend. He will truly be missed. The family would like to invite everyone to an informal memorial celebration Saturday, December 8th, 2012 at the Fishermans Cove Clubhouse, 36100 Dockside Place, Dade City, Florida 33525 from 1-3pm.
