Florence Anne Dockry, 88, of Zephyrhills, Florida, passed away on September 4, 2026, in Zephyrhills.

Florence was born on March 13, 1938, in Ohio to Edward Bartholomew Dockry and Anne Tresia Dockry. She grew up alongside her brother, Daniel Edward Dockry.

Florence dedicated much of her life to caring for others through the nursing profession. She graduated from nursing school in Cleveland and later continued her education at Saint Leo College, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1985.

Outside of her professional life, Florence enjoyed quilting and knitting and was actively involved in her church and community. She participated in church activities and social functions within her Driftwood condominium community, building friendships and sharing her time and talents with those around her.

Her caring nature extended far beyond her own community. Florence spent two years serving on a mission in Ghana, where she assisted in establishing a medical clinic. Her willingness to use her nursing experience in service to others was a meaningful part of a life characterized by compassion, faith, and generosity.

Florence is survived by her brother, Daniel Edward Dockry and his wife, Eleanor Dockry; her nieces, Theresa Dockry, Ann-Rene Dockry Gusic, Milissa Dockry Shaw, and Beatriz Dockry Salinas; as well as eight great-grandnephews and four great-grandnieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Bartholomew Dockry and Anne Tresia Dockry.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zephyrhills, Florida.
