It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Evelyn Helene (Kinney) Guth at the age of 101 in Hudson, FL on May 1, 2023. Evelyn was born on March 6, 1922, in Temperance, MI to parents Glea and Clara Kinney.
She is survived by her daughter: Cheryl Novak
Grandchildren: Denise Cunningham, Donald (Veronica) Bryans and James (Erika) Moreno.
Great Grandchildren: Ronnie Bryans, Roy Bryans, Drake Bryans, Samantha Bryans. The Morenos: Noah, Maddyn, Nalani, Xavier, Harper.
Son-in-law Joseph Moreno as well as other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death on June 30, 2006 by her husband Howard Arthur Guth. Also preceded in death her daughter Candace Moreno, her grandson Joseph Moreno, Jr., her great grandson Gabriel Moreno, her parents and sisters: Margaret Brown and Kathryn McClanathan.
Evelyn spent her childhood in Temperance, Michigan, and later moved to Allen Park, Michigan. She retired at Travelers Rest RV Park in Dade City, FL. She worked as an Office Manager at the Automobile Club of Michigan.
Evelyn enjoyed traveling with her husband Howard, as well as with her friends in the Wally Byam Airstream Club. She was the editor of the TR Times newspaper for many years and enjoyed hobbies such as knitting, crocheting, quilting, scrapbooking, and making cards.
Her achievements were many, and perhaps most remarkable was her ability to enjoy life to the fullest at the age of 101. She was able to engage in everyday activities, such as using a laptop computer and iPhone, going out to dinner with friends and family, and getting out and about. Her legacy will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.
