MCCULLOUGH, Eva Mae Boatright, "Eva", age (78), of Dade City, Florida, passed from this life into the arms of Jesus, and she was joyfully reunited to her loving husband (Patrick) and best friend of 31 years on Tuesday, August 17th, 2021. Eva was born in Alma, Georgia on January 22, 1943, to the late Mitchell Melton and Rebecca Boatright. Eva graduated in 1961 from Ribault High School in Jacksonville, Florida, and she worked at the Credit Bureau for several years. Her favorite job was also her life calling as she spent most of her years working as a CNA, where she cared for, loved, and served others as was the very fabric of her being. Eva always had the most glorious smile on her face, and her eyes sparkled with the joy and laughter of her Lord and Savior. She embodied her God-given gift of encouragement and she loved everyone she met. Eva enjoyed her family, reading her Bible and going to church with her beloved husband (Patrick) before he passed, and she was a wonderful cook, and she found great joy in lavishing her family with her southern home-style hospitality.
Survivors include her children and children in love, Clinton Gilliard (Tanya), Eric Gilliard (Tammy), Nicole Hassan, Dwayne McCullough (Peaches), Donna Braxton (Mark) Betsy Rowell (Derek), and her beloved daughter Teresa Anderton (Rick), who joined her in paradise on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Eva will be remembered by all of her brothers and sister-in-laws; Garry Boatright, Quincy Boatright (Betty), Glenn Boatright (Kitty), Foster Boatright (Anna Mae), Floyd Boatright (Virginia), and Vernell Galloway; numerous precious grandchildren include Eric, Waylon, Mitchell, Maria, Justin, Christy, Katy, and Julie Gilliard and Sarah and Tyler Roenicke, eighteen great-grandchildren whom she loved deeply, nieces, nephews and a multitude of close friends that she met along her lifes journey. She was preceded in death by her husbands son: Doug McCullough; her precious mother Rebecca and her father, Melton Mitchell, her brothers; Arthur Carlton and Mitchell Melton "Junior" Boatright, brother-in-laws Elton Smith and Sam Galloway, and beloved sisters Naomi Smith and Martha Boatright.
A gathering will be held at 10:00 a.m. in honor of Eva McCullough, and her adorning daughter Teresa Anderton followed by a joint Memorial service in celebration of promotion to their heavenly home on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Dade City Church of God, located at 14520 21st St, Dade City, FL 33523.
