Ryer, Eugene V. 87 years young, born July 16, 1924-passed into eternal life on June 17, 2012. Veteran U.S. Navy, WWII. Long time employee of Hamilton Standard division of United Technologies Corp. Beginning his career as a Quality Control Inspector, he rose up through the steps to become a Senior Purchasing Representative. In that position, Gene traveled to various locations to purchase machined parts for the U.T.C. aerospace contracts. Gene is survived by his beloved and loving wife, Hasmig (Kelly) Ryer of Zephyrhills; son Eugene F. (Andi) Ryer of Zephyrhills, son Phil Ryer of Tampa, daughter Jackie Okolita of MA; daughter Kathryn Lowe of MO, step-daughter Penny Meyers of Zephyrhills and step-son Gregory Balsewicz of MA. Also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ceremony will be held at Chapel Hill Gardens, adjacent to Hodges Funeral Home on U.S. 301 in Dade City, at 10:00 am. on Wednesday, June 27, 2012.
