Hardy, Eugene (Geno) F. Sr. of Dade City, age 69, entered eternal rest on June 22, 2013 following a long battle with liver cancer and colon cancer. Geno was born in Coatesville, Pennsylvania on July 8, 1943 to Walter Orville and Mary Ann (Gibson) Hardy. He and Anna, his first wife of 46 years, moved to Zephyrhills, Florida in 1987. Geno worked for Waste Management for many years and received many awards. In addition to many friends and relatives in Pennsylvania and Florida, Mr. Hardy leaves to cherish his memory his second wife Lu; Son, Eugene Jr. and Mary of Pottstown, Pennsylvania; Daughters, Teresa and Kevin OMalley of Dade City and Dianna and Michael Sweat of Ruskin; Grandsons Don Jackson, Gage Sweat and Shooter Sweat; Granddaughters Courtney Sweat, Ashley Hardy and Cassandra Hardy; Great-grandson Logan Jackson; Genos baby son John and Kim Sawyer of Bar Nunn, Wyoming; Twin grandchildren, Thomas and Savannah Sawyer of Wyoming; and Great-grandson, Anthony of Wyoming. Also, his third daughter Sandy Gay of Pennsylvania; Sisters Martha Casella of Dade City, Betty Cleviastine and Mary Ann Pack of Pennsylvania; His dearest friend, Bill Elwell of Dade City. Geno loved his home and property. Anyone could find him working in his yard almost all of the time. Geno was recently baptized by Father Dewey Brown of St. Marys Episcopal Church. Geno was in the care of HPH Hospice. Geno will be buried in Pennsylvania next to his first wife Anna.
