Gregory, Ernie 77, of Dade City, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015 at his home. He was born June 19, 1938 in Detroit, AL to Eddie Hay & Cleta Bell Smith Gregory and was a longtime area resident. He retired after 33 years with Delta Airlines and Schwanns Food Company. Ernie was a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran and active with numerous community events. He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Janice Gregory, Dade City, FL; son & daughter-in-law: Bryan & Sheri Gregory, Zephyrhills, FL; grandchildren: Matthew, Brenna and Amory Gregory; brothers: Eddie W. & John V. Gregory, Mississippi; sisters: Mary Helen & Robbie Lee, Mississippi and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Brenda Gay Gregory. Memorial services will be held 11am Wednesday October 28, 2015 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in Ernies memory to a charity of your choice.
